Pirate Chain: Setting Sail for a Thrilling 2025!

Happy New Year! We're back with our first monthly update of 2025. This time we are focusing on the current month, rather than the previous month we'd previously been doing.

The winds are strong and the seas are looking favorable for Pirate Chain! We've got a treasure chest of exciting updates to share, from upcoming events to development progress and a booming community spirit.

Charting a Course for New Shores: Events

Counterparty

We set sail for Miami Beach on January 25th and 26th for the Counterparty Conference! We had a booth showcasing the power of private transactions, and Amy V took to the stage to share the Pirate Chain message. It was a fantastic event, organized by our friend and fellow pirate, Tatiana Moroz, a talented musician who's been a part of the crypto space for ages. There were some big names there, including Luke Rudkowski, Aaron Day, Paul Puey, and Rafael LaVerde, packed with valuable insights.

Anarchapulco

The adventure doesn't stop there! From February 17th to 21st, we'll be heading down to Acapulco, Mexico, for Anarchapulco! This is our fifth year sponsoring this incredible event, and it's always a blast. The Anarco community is a huge supporter of Pirate Chain and privacy, so it feels like coming home. Spreading the Word: Twitter Spaces and Community Engagement

We've been making waves on Twitter Spaces lately, reaching out to new audiences and educating them about the importance of privacy in blockchain, such as the resent "Prediction to Value Creation" Space we featured on hosted by Flagship.FYI.

It’s been great to connect with younger crypto enthusiasts who are just discovering the power of this technology. If you're on Twitter, make sure to follow the Pirate Chain account and join us in these spaces. Your support in the comments and shares helps us reach even more people! We are also planning to host our own Pirate Chain focused Twitter spaces soon, so stay tuned for announcements.

Community is Key: Discord, Tips, and More!

Our Discord server has gotten a fresh new look (a work in progress), thanks to the hard work of QuirkyRobots! It's now even easier to navigate and find the information you need. We encourage you to check it out and give us your feedback.

And speaking of community, the Pirate Chain tipbot is back in action on our Discord! This is a fantastic way to engage with other pirates and spread some ARRR love. Tipping is a simple yet powerful way to introduce new people to Pirate Chain. It only takes a small amount to spark their curiosity and get them exploring the world of private transactions.

We've also seen a surge in activity on our weekly Community Calls! These calls take place every Sunday at 1pm Eastern Time (6pm UTC) and are a great opportunity to connect with the team and other community members. We discuss everything from Pirate Chain development to general privacy topics. We'd love to see more of you there! We also encourage community members to start their own calls at different times to accommodate different time zones.

Development Update: Onward with Orchard!

On the development front, Forge is hard at work on Orchard, our major upgrade that will eliminate the trusted setup. This is a huge milestone for Pirate Chain and will further solidify our position as the leading privacy-focused cryptocurrency.
