Events this past month included Pirate Chain sponsoring a soccer team for Copa Monero in Argentina and a party with the Null404.org group during DEF CON week in Las Vegas. A decentralized VPN service is also now accepting Pirate Chain $ARRR as a form of payment.

Pirate Chain Team Velez at Copa Monero
Pirate Chain sponsored the Velez Sarsfield soccer team for Copa Monero in Argentina with a community open to using private cryptocurrency. The Pirate Chain team won their match on July 14 against Sarmiento, the Trocador team, 2 to 0. On August 11, Velez tied Club Ibaretta, sponsored by Exolix, 1 to 1. Null:404 & Pirate Chain Party At DEF CON 32
This August the Pirate Chain crew had an absolute blast at the party with Null404 Cyber Security Research Group during DEF CON week in Las Vegas.
DaJohns and AmyV were present at the party and shared information about Pirate Chain privacy with around 150 guests. People learnt about our privacy technology while having fun playing games including “Find the Hacker Among Us” challenge. There is talk about ideas for how to incorporate the Pirate Chain theme into more of the “Find the Hacker” capture-the-flag game challenge for next year!

Monthly Project Update July 2024
The Pirate Chain monthly update meeting was held on August 12 with an update from DaJohns. Updates included the Argentinian Copa Monero games and the recent DEF CON event in Las Vegas with Null404.org. Meile.app is a new decentralized VPN that accepts $ARRR as payment.
Warelock wrote an article on “The Importance of Perfect Fungibility” with $ARRR as the best fungible asset that you can own. We are also sending out an invitation to future events and a reminder to use Komodo Wallet (formerly known as Atomic DEX) to trade your $ARRR.
